DriveWorks Authorized Services Partner
I automate the repetitive design, quoting, and integration work that buries your best engineers. They get their time back. You get faster quotes, cleaner data, and people solving problems instead of repeating them.
Start a conversationThe cost of the status quo
Experienced engineers commonly spend nearly half their week on repetitive modeling, redrawing, and re-quoting variants they've done before.
Sales waits on engineering. Engineering is buried. The customer goes somewhere faster. Every day in the queue is margin walking out the door.
When your ERP, CAD, and quoting systems don't talk to each other, someone is copy-pasting between them. Every paste is a chance for an error.
How I solve it
From first form to full deployment. I build CPQ configurators, design automation projects, and SolidWorks modeling strategies that let your sales team quote without waiting on engineering. Bottom-up part architecture, macros, and custom properties, all set up to be driven by DriveWorks from day one.
Your ERP, CAD, and quoting systems should talk to each other without a human in the middle. I connect DriveWorks to your business systems. New rollouts, acquisition onboarding, or bridging the disparate platforms you already have. Zero double-entry. Zero copy-paste errors.
Recent results
Drawing time per conveyor section went from 1-2 days to 15-20 minutes after a DriveWorks rebuild.
For B & S Automação e Projeto, BrazilERP integration ended one manufacturer's hand-managing of BOMs and routings. Engineering had been spending that time on data entry instead of design.
SYSPRO integration cut per-line order entry from 15-20 seconds to 2 seconds, regardless of how many lines were on the order.
Also shipped: a custom production planning tool built to integrate with an existing DriveWorks implementation, plus portfolio-level DriveWorks architecture alignment for an HVAC equipment manufacturer.

Why Base 10
I'm not a software person who learned manufacturing. I'm a manufacturing engineer who builds software.

"It's not often that talent, compassion, and high integrity meet in one person. His capabilities are world class, and his integrity makes him someone you can always trust to do right by you."Aaron W., Product Manager
"Dave excels at seeing the vision of how an organization can be run. He can see beyond hindrances, pinpoint what the vision can look like, and then step back into today and see what steps are needed to get there."Dan A., Director of Engineering
"His knowledge in both mechanical design and system engineering is amazing. His work on our systems engineering has made my job as a designer much more efficient and enjoyable."Gordon S., Mechanical Designer
About
I'm Dave Dewey, founder of Base 10 Consultants. I spent 25 years on the manufacturing side of the desk, working the shop floor, the engineering bench, and the meeting where someone finally asks why the same drawing is being redone for the fourth time this year. Eventually I turned that frustration into software.
I started Base 10 because the tools that promise to fix repetitive engineering work usually get implemented by people who've never lived inside it. The result is configurators that don't survive contact with how a real shop runs. I build the opposite. My DriveWorks projects, CPQ logic, and ERP integrations are grounded in how manufacturers quote, design, and ship. For the past two years I've worked with a small team of specialist subcontractors on larger engagements.
Based in Petoskey, Michigan. I've worked with manufacturers in the United States, Canada, Brazil, Australia, and New Zealand.
